Buy Sale Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Casein Protein, Review This may be the first time I’ve tried Casein and I was forewarned that the taste is generally horrendous. Maybe I’ve a weird sense of taste, but it is truly pretty tasty. I make a shake correct before bed as this stuff breaks down slower than Whey powder. It is really delicious with milk, which also adds extra protein. It’s okay with water, but the very best with milk.
This casein protein is excellent. I put it in oatmeal and drink it prior to sleeping. It provides lengthy sustained protein release so your muscles get the nutrients it needs. It has basically no fat and no carbs and a strong amount of protein in every scoop. And obviously it tastes great. I mix it with cold water and I love it.
It’s thick and flavorful and I would drink it as a shake even if it wasn’t a protein drink. If I had to make any improvements it would be on how very easily the powder mixes. Although much better than most powders about the marketplace I would suggest a shaker if not a blender. Mixing by spoon in a glass does fairly well but you can occasionally end up with clumps. Optimum Nutrition offers a great high quality protein at a more economical price than most brands, but yet doesn’t skimp about the high quality. The Casein chocolate supreme flavor is one of the very best tasting chocolate protein powders on the market.
If you have looked into protein supplements then you’re familiar with this type. Taste great for the most part, a little difficult to mix having a spoon or fork but that’s to be expected.

Great product for what you need, tastes just okay
I'm a big fan of Optimum Nutrition. I love their 100% Whey. I buy the Casein for a quick shake before bed. I mix it with a blender because it is much thicker that Whey. Not the greatest taste but not horrible either. Get's the job done.

This is one of the better tasting Protein shakes I have had, and I am not really into chocolate. I have been mixing with water, normal shaker cup and it really tastes great. I like the ON products, very little extra fillers and added sugars.
